what is courtship?
Courtship is a sports matchmaking platform that helps people find partners and organise games for racket sports like badminton, padel, and tennis. It matches you with players at a similar level, in nearby locations, at times that fit your schedule.

how does matching work?
You create a short player profile with your sport(s), skill level, preferred times, and locations. Courtship then suggests potential partners and open games that match your criteria. You can accept, decline, or propose a different time or venue.

is courtship free to use?
The core features of creating a profile, finding partners, and joining games are free during the early access phase. As we learn what works, some features that are free today may become paid later. We’re also experimenting with the idea of small per‑game fees (for example, around 1 € to join a game) to help keep no‑shows low and support the platform.

We encourage real names or consistent nicknames and profile photos. You can report inappropriate behaviour, and repeat offenders can be warned, suspended, or removed.

do i need to speak the local language to use courtship?
No. The app is available in English first. Additional languages (such as Finnish and Swedish) will be added as the community grows across different regions.
